tuning company Oettinger Performance is back with a vengeance! Not only
has the oldest tuning company been able to rekindle it's past, but it has now
turned out 2 great and long awaited vehicles! The Volkswagen Golf V and the Audi
A3 8P.
The Audi A3 with
it's very distinctive Oettinger front. Not only do you notice it's appeal, you
also realise this is going to be the style that everyone wants!
The products might
be slightly pricey, but then quality does come at a price! Something we'd
all agree on, but then again how beautiful it is too.
Oettinger has now
perfected it's own DPT (Direct Port Tuning) System, and we are now looking for

Just remember, all
the big conversions that are put onto VW Golf GTI's with K03s and K04
conversions today. They are still 7 years behind the famous Oettinger Golf IV
GTI 230bhp conversion, and we still have the original car that we did first in
the UK back in 1999...

Oettinger
first turned its’ attentions to enhancing the performance of Beetle
engines in 1946.
Throughout the 1950’s and 60’s, Oettinger (then called OKRASA-Oettinger
Kraftfarhrtechishe Spezialanstalt or “automotive special workshop”)
made a name for themselves with countless Rally victories and developed
special modifications for road vehicles.
The
1970’s saw a partnership agreement between Volkswagen and Oettinger,
allowing German VW dealers to sell Oettinger products from their
showrooms, and then in 1976 VW invented the Golf GTI.
Oettinger quickly developed a number of exciting tuning products
for this, their own 16 valve head for the MK1 became particularly well
known, predating the “factory” 16V by a number of years.
Throughout
the past twenty-seven years, Oettinger has led the way in tuning
products for VW and Audi cars.
The early 1980’s saw the building of a purpose-built three-storey showroom and headquarters in Friedrichsdorf complete with a
department specialising in the new “ECU” technology. Exciting new
engines such as the 20 Valve Turbo and 1.9Tdi diesel could now benefit
from Oettinger Chip tuning.
In recent years, Oettinger has backed up the engineering side of
the business with a range of complimentary styling products, this range
is ever increasing and always improving.
Oettinger’s
performance and styling programs encompass virtually the whole range of
petrol and diesel models in the Audi, Volkswagen and SEAT families.
There are a wide range of elements in each, with specially developed
components to enhance performance, handling, safety and styling.
